Jazzmate (SRB)

Jazzmate’s set in Maribor will be based on dynamic driving music played exclusively from vinyl.

Nebojša Bogdanović first dipped his toes into DJing in 2000 when studying in Germany, where he gained first-hand experience in the sounds of the new millennium and met the pioneers of the new creative ‘brokenbeat’ scene (Rainer Trueby, Les Gammas, Jazzanova, etc.). When things changed back home, he returned to his native Belgrade and launched his own radio show Balausa at Radio B92. The show ran from 2003 to 2014.

Even though he now spends his days blogging (Nestvarna mesta blog) and only rarely makes appearances in the club scene, he’s still fully devoted to exploring timeless dance music.

He’s lately shifted his focus towards 80’s alternative and the music created from the remnants of disco, fused with some other unknown worlds and technologies. Boogie is still the most apt description of his sets, but the sets are much broader in terms of genre – ranging from analogue modern black soul to proto Italo house creations. Jazzmate’s set in Maribor will be based on dynamic driving music played exclusively from vinyl.
