Nadia Ternifi

Nadia Ternifi (1993) studies vocals with Professor Pia Brodnik at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. She graduated in singing in 2016 from the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet under the mentorship of Professor Edita Garčević-Koželj. On top of that, Nadia is a pre-grad of the Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine. In 2013 she won the gold prize and placed 3rd at the Lazar Jovanović international singing showcase in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2014 Nadia took part in the recital showcase Prisluhnimo (‘Let’s Listen’) at Ljubljana’s Križanke venue, organized by the Ljubljana Youth of Music. The year after that she got a scholarship and a spot at the international singing festival Oper-oder-Spree in Beeskow, Germany. It was there that Nadia appeared in an opera medley and two gala concerts with the Prussian Chamber Orchestra. Nadia also appeared solo at New Year’s Eve concerts of the Domžale-Kamnik Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet. In 2016 she won 1st place and the gold prize in her category at the Slovenian Young Musicians Competition. In 2018 she organized and played a solo act at the 11th Traditional Concert of Students of Faculty of Medicine at the Union Hall of the Union Grand Hotel. She regularly takes part in singing seminars with internationally renowned professors such as Rudolf Piernay, Nena Brzaković, Snežana Stamenkovič, Peter Maus and Breda Zakotnik. In 2012 Nadia earned a scholarship of of the Municipality of Ljubljana that she continues to hold until today.

Gregor Ravnik

Gregor Ravnik is a student of the Ljubljana Faculty of Medicine and part-time student of solo singing at the Ljubljana Academy of Music under the mentorship of Associate Professor Pija Brodnik. He took part in numerous national and international singing competitions and always ranked near the top. At the end of 2014 he sang the solo part in the world premiere of the opera War and Peace by Larry Coryell at Ljubljana’s Cankar Hall, and followed up his performance when the opera toured in Nova Gorica, Zagreb, and Russia in 2015. In July 2015 he sang a solo part in Monteverdi’s Vespers in Ljubljana.

In 2016 he sang a solo part in Bach’s St. John’s Passion under the mentorship of Professor Marko Vatovec and appeared in the children’s opera Brundibar at Ljubljana’s Cankar Hall in January 2017. In April 2017 he sang a solo part in Beethoven’s Fantiasia for piano, chorus and vocal soloists at Cankar Hall under the baton of maestro En Shao. In May 2017 he appeared at Cankar Hall as Quinto in B. Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, accompanied by students of the Ljubljana Academy of Music.

Beata Ilona Barcza 

Beata Ilona Barcza began studying music in Hungarian Fertőd at the Joseph Haydn Music School, and later earned her degree in piano and piano teaching at the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts in Pécs. She also worked as a repetiteur and took up doctoral studies. Beata took part in numerous competitions and earned a remarkable number of prizes and awards. As keyboard instruments from an earlier era are her favourite, she took part in a fortepiano master class in Ithaca (USA) by invitation of Malcolm Bilson, and took part in a master class held by Dalibor Miklavčič in Ljubljana. In 2015 she earned a scholarship and spent a semester studying with Jasminka Stančul at the Ljubljana Music Academy. In the summer of 2015 she made a successful appearance with Jaka Stadler and Miha Maas. Nadia currently works as a piano teacher and repetiteur at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet.
