Tribute to soul!
A soulful night of original music and soul covers with Maja Keuc, accompanied by select artists.
Maja Keuc, singer and composer, lately better known in the music world as Amaya, is coming to the Triglav Stage with a trio of well-known Slovenian music artists Miha Koretič, Dorian Granda and Jernej Kržič. Maja made her name across Slovenia eight years ago when she appeared in Slovenia’s Got Talent. Her first major music project was her appearance as featured artist on the record Po viharju of the band ‘Družinski ansambel za prosperiranje poezije in glasbe PAPIR’.
Maja released her first solo album Indigo a year later. The year before last, she graduated cum laude from solo voice in Rotterdam, and later honed her vocal jazz skills at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm, where she lives to this day. Last May, Maja released her first mini international album entitled Fairytales, with the single Chase me becoming a regular guest on the airwaves. She presented her newest single Concrete at this year’s Slovenian Eurovision selection EMA.
Maja’s singing career is currently stretching from Slovenia to Sweden, whereas her composition efforts travel between South Korea and Japan. Tribute to Soul was very well received by critics and pays homage to the best soul singers of the last 60 years. The set includes a few songs by Papir and a few songs Maja wrote herself, this time clad in the velvet veil of soul.
