Modern urban score filled with Jamaican musical spirit, no stranger to improvisation and musical influences from all over the globe.
Global Community is a series of projects by guitar player and composer Igor Bezget, who brings together diverse elements of world music in various settings and line-ups. Together with Jamaican singer Italee Watson, Bezget is bringing a reggae-inspired set based on modern urban music, influenced by music from all over the globe and plenty of improvisation – the Roots and Fruits project.
His collaboration with Italee began last summer during Watson’s European tour and will continue later this year in Kingston, Jamaica, where the music project was recorded. Aside from music the artists created together, the concert will feature songs Italee plays at concert venues across the world. The line-up features Slovenian reggae music ambassador Tadej ‘Tadiman’ Tratnik, this time on bass guitar, and drummer Materj Horvat Mato. Both are members of the reggae band Siti hlapci.
