Dragica The Witch

for children | puppet show

Nowadays we use herbs regularly for our health or as spices without being labelled witches.

Once upon a time, there was … a sea. As sea that shrunk into a river, which gave birth to a town. A town where people lived, had thoughts, and did lots of fun things, just like today. And just what did Dragica do to be called a witch?

Dragica is an outstanding herbalist and healer. She picks healing herbs and uses them to make tea, syrup, ointment and other healing brews. Nettle, chamomile, dandelion, mint, lavender, sage, thyme, plantain, and elderberry are her most common picks. In the Middle Ages, where our story is set, people often lacked the understanding of the healing powers of herbs and often unjustly accused herbalists of being witches or having supernatural powers.

Nowadays we use herbs regularly for our health or as spices without being labelled witches.
