This joint project by three Slovenian and Croatian music artists called Jazz TAPestry features the Croatian jazz diva, the world-class and charismatic vocalist Lela Kaplowitz. Joining her are Slovenian multi-instrumentalists Marko Korošec on double bass and Stane Hebar on guitar.
Lela Kaplowitz performed in numerous well-known concert venues and clubs (Madison Square Garden, Birdland, Blue Note in New York) and collaborated with various world-renowned artists and ensembles (2Cellos, Mike Sponza, Big Band HRT, Arturo “Chico” O’Farrill, Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra, Doug Carn, Miles Griffith, Bill Saxton, Harry Whittaker, Dick Griffin, Charles Tolliver, Craig Handy, Gary Fritz, Bob Alberti, Ben Tucker)
The artists promise that aside from Lela’s amazing vocals performance, the set will feature a hefty dose of tap dancing. Lela took tap training at seminars in the U.S. and learned from world-class dancing masters and pedagogues.
