Djembabe

Djembabe combine in their music what seemingly cannot be combined – original African rhythms and Slavic folk songs. The creativity of the band members is unquestionable, as they write original music based on West African traditional melodies and rhythms.

Djembabe were formed in 2009. To create their original sound, they borrow from traditional West African rhythms and add a pinch of Slavic temperament. The musical energy born from a woman’s heart and created by a woman’s hand is an interesting mixture of the ancient, wild, and untameable with the soft and simple.
