The Fates (AUT, SLO)

music | concert

Well-known melodies get a do-over, get turned upside-down, the rhythms are different, but these are still our songs, Slovenian songs, albeit presented in a modern and playful manner, full of additions crafted by young music enthusiasts and their mentors, Igor Bezget, Samo Kolar, and Edi Oraže.

Folk songs as modern covers.

Rojenice are a continuation of the original school of production by Jazz Ravve and the children’s choir JAMzi of the Cultural Association ICS Zmaj from Klagenfurt, Marko skače. The project is based on Slovenian, mostly children’s folk songs, upgraded with original arrangements created by students and mentors. Children who heard and sang these very songs just a few years ago now take a completely different role.

Original melodies serve only as a motif they use to develop their own interpretation of music and folk song.
