Welcome to the Kingdom of Music, full of riddles, tricks, and song.
The music performance project Kingdom of Music is a didactical play for children where they learn basic terms and signs of music theory in fairy tale shape. The kingdom opens its doors to us and lets us meet its friendly inhabitants, living in attuned rhythm and harmony and creating music. A whole bunch of songs awaits our young visitors, but only if they cooperate and solve the riddles.
Each riddle solved brings on stage an inhabitant of the kingdom, who gives his presentation in song. Children can meet Princess Half-Note, Queen Corona, the Full-Note, servants, and many more. The kingdom can only be entered with the right clef; children are therefore welcome to create their own clef and bring it along. Draw it on a piece of paper, make one out of wire or sourdough – there are no limits to imagination. Creativity starts at home.
This original project was created by composer Tadeja Vulc and choirmaster Kerstin Pori. Signing and bowing will be the Children’s Choir CS and musical guests.
