Hat trick Trio are a young band featuring three ladies who met while studying jazz music in Klagenfurt.
Maša But, a successful Slovene singer (‘Wicked Nation’ and ‘Woodlanders’), graduated cum laude this year under the mentorship of Caroline de Rooij, and teaches at renowned singing schools in Ljubljana and Celje.
Double bass player Lidija Strika from Rijeka, Croatia, is a member of various Croatian bands (‘En Face’, ‘Soulmates’, ‘Cabaret a la Carte’). She began her music career playing electric bass, but has since taken her talents to double bass and is now studying with Professor Ulrich Langthaler. In 2016, she won the ‘Status’ professional music prize, awarded by the Croatian Musicians Union, in the category of young and promising artists.
Urška Supej is a young guitar player who began her guitar studies at the Jazz Department of the Karol Pahor Music School in Ptuj under the mentorship of Professor Stane Hebar. Urška is currently studying with Agostino di Giorgio and playing in various bands she had founded (Urška Supej trio/quartet), all while often appearing in duets with different singers (Dualaine, Anja Hrastovšek, Maša But, Veronika Kumar, and many more).
As Hat Trick Trio the ladies play various jazz standards, some original music, as well as songs from their pop/funk/Latino repertoire.
