The musical play Majcena pravljica is an adaptation of a Slovenian fairy tale from the village of Kobdilje in the Karst region. This simple tale is enriched by traditional Slovenian folk songs starring chicks and flies. The play shifts from narration to song and back, pausing from time to time so Klarisa and Luka can follow up on the story with the children. The guitar makes an appearance from time to time to tell a story or act as the judge.
The tale features a few expressions in dialect Klarisa explains as they appear, with the children helping wherever they can. Klarisa helps the children to enrich their vocabulary by playfully using collocations and sayings about chicks and flies.
