CAPTAIN MORGAN'S REVENGE
Captain Morgan's Revenge began as a rocking trio from Novo mesto, who have been connected by music since the very beginning. As co-founders, or simply as members of a life-long crew, they played in a series of bands, such as Necrotik, Kormorana, HBWC, Condemnatio Christi, Sarcom, and Linear.
After years of taking music all too seriously, they decided it was time to have some fun. The over-the-weekend, let’s-hit-it-raw recording session of random chords, with a few hi-hats and snares sprinkled on top for good measure, ended early in the morning with a finished song and a huge smile on their faces. The three musketeers – founding member Rok Žurga (Jim Morgan) on the mic, Aljoša Hrastar on guitar and Špelko Maksim as the drum machine, proved that Rock’n’Roll is alive and kicking.
After spending six months trying to find a bass player, Nejc Godec, former member of Ice On Fire, came on board and the band announced their march onto the music scene in the beginning of December 2015.
In their short time together, Captain Morgan's Revenge played quite a few high-quality gigs, including an appearance at the main stage of Škisove tržnica, and won the Škisolov and the local VW Rocks 2017 pre-selection.
Their style could best be described as a hard blues rock band. But just like the leopard can’t change its spots, Captain Morgan's Revenge can’t help but add hard southern metal and stoner rock elements to their music.
The beginning of March marked the release of their new single Same Fools. The song is about the need to preserve our inner child despite all the troubles of the modern world. The month of March also saw a twist in the story… With heavy hearts, the band said goodbye to Aljoša, but embraced with open arms new blues blood, Žiga Vovk, who proved his chops in his very first gig with the band at the Šourock pre-selection, where the band punched their ticket to the finals.

KING UBU (CRO)
King Ubu is an alternative-progressive band from Zagreb/Croatia formed in 1991. The band played different styles through the years – punk, grunge, melodic hardcore, etc. King Ubu are: Saša Špoljar – vocals, guitar (Bachelor of Music), Petar Aleraj – bass guitar, Andrej Šarić – drums.
King UBU recorded 3 demo albums in 2000, 2005 (Zbirka zadataka / Collection of tasks) and the latest in 2016 (produced by Hrvoje Nikšić).The latest album is called '2016'! In 2016, the band shot a video for the single Zakon (Law) (youtube / soundcloud). The video directed and shot by the young and talented video artist Petra Nyx from Zagreb. King Ubu still make live appearances. In 2016, their songs Polaritet (Polarity) and Usud (Fate) (soundcloud) were published on the compilations Balkan under radar vol.4 by the label Black Planet Records from Niš, Serbia and 2016-razni izvođači by Librarion Records, Serbia.
